Psalm 68:5-6

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.

God sets the lonely in families, he leads forth the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.

I am Stepanie Nance. My family adopted two little boys with Down Syndrome from Ukraine in 2010. I hope to educate and to inspire you. I hope to make you laugh and to make you cry.

Come along for the ride. It's a wild one!

The Pearl

Matthew 13:45-46

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

My boys are like precious jewels to me. What would I give up/sell to ransom them? Just thinking about this tonight as I prepare mentally for our trip. :)

  1. PRECIOUS!! I'm in total freak out mode... We really are giving up much to do this! A small window into what God gave up for us....

  2. wish I coudl give something right now we are a few months then good.

funny but we gave up a computer chair one month so we could chip in for Zhenya, before you found him (or before we knew you found him) . I'm still sitting on a hard wood kitchen chair and sometimes by night (like now) I feel it and remember why I didn't buy that soft chair that month.
